The Management Team

FX Bridge’s management team possesses extensive industry and technical knowledge from retail and institutional dealing to systems design and administration. This dedicated group of professionals endeavors to be the premier provider of online FX execution technology to dealers and liquidity providers in the global capital markets.

Stephen Best is Chief Executive Officer. He oversees the management, operation, and strategic direction of FX Bridge Technologies Corporation. Over the past 10 years, he has focused on the implementation of complex electronic trading initiatives at large financial institutions. He joined FX Bridge from State Street Global Markets, where he was Senior Managing Director, Global Head of Electronic Trading & Distribution. In this role, Stephen was responsible for FX algorithmic trading and electronic sales. Previously, Stephen was Managing Director, Global Head of eCommerce Strategy for JPMorgan’s Global Currencies & Commodities Group. During his 20 year career in financial markets, Stephen has held derivative trading and sales roles at RBC, UBS and Deutsche Bank. He received his M.B.A. (Finance) from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto and his B.A. (Economics & Politics) from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.

Joseph Cunningham is President and Founder of FX Bridge. Mr. Cunningham’s strategic vision and entrepreneurial energy lead FX Bridge from a concept in 1999 to a market leader in innovative e-FX trading technology. He has more than 25 years of experience in financial products and services, including as a proprietary options trader and private equity Forex options dealer.

James N. Friedman is Chief Operating Officer, and has been with FX Bridge since 2002. Mr. Friedman is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Industrial Engineering and an MBA in business management. He brings technology and sales experience from Digital Equipment Corp., Software AG, and SBC Communications. He has held NASD Series 3 and Series 30 licenses.

Jeff Hedlund is Chief System Engineer. He joined FX Bridge in 2004 and has been CSE since 2005. He holds a BS in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and spent four years at Georgia Institute of Technology as a lead computer scientist in research and development. He served as chief technology officer for four years at Matrix, Inc.

Tito Girod is Chief Product Architect. He comes to FX Bridge with industry expertise in the high-performance trading systems space. He previously served as vice president of software development for Lava Trading. He has built options trading systems for First Traders Analytical Solutions and served as chief technology officer of an international proprietary trading firm. Tito holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Tulane University and a Masters in Ancient History from the American Military University.

Steven Reich, Senior Managing Director, is Strategic Advisor to FX Bridge Technologies. Mr. Reich was a co-founder and chief operating officer of HotSpot FX Corporation, an online Forex marketplace for both institutional and retail clients. HotSpot FX was sold in 2006 to Knight Capital. Mr. Reich has extensive treasury and currency dealing experience with Barclays Capital, HSBC Markets, and Credit Suisse, as well as a deep knowledge of electronic marketplaces. Mr. Reich holds a degree in applied economics from Cornell University.
